Lennart Stigendal, MD, was Head of Department of Coagulation and Haemophilia Treatment Centre of University Hospital of Sahlgrenska, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1983-2006. Consultant for MPA (Medical Product Agency) 2005 regarding Reversal of Anticoagulants. Has participated in research in Haemophilia, HIV, Thrombotic and Bleeding Disorders. Introduced selftesting of INR in Sweden. Consultant in coagulation for EQUALIS (External Quality Assurance in Laboratory Medicine in Sweden) since 1999. He has extensive educative experience in coagulation for medical students and medical specialists in anaesthesia, surgery, internal medicine, haematology and clinical chemistry and also dentists and nurses. Still working as mentor and consultant for the Department of Coagulation and Haemophilia Treatment Centre in clinical and research issues apart from lecturing.
